OUR GOALS
TECHNOLOGY
We want to ensure that the technological needs of our school are addressed, improve, and optimized to meet the demands of our learning platforms. Covid-19 forced MSOA to pivot how we teach, and for our students, how they learn. We commit to setting our students up for success by providing them with the tools needed for a 21st century educational experience. It is the goal of MSOA Count Me In Campaign to prepare students for the future.

Donate a classroom set of tablets/laptops to every grade level

Provide our students with limited internet with wireless devices
INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT
We know that learning also takes place beyond the classroom with supportive services and experiences for our students. Cultural excursions, non-teaching support staff, and instructional tools are also needed to enhance the learning experience of our scholars who we are nurturing as Caliphs.

Assist in fundraising efforts to enhance out of classroom experiences. Provide our teachers with the teaching tools necessary to enhance instructional practices for our Scholars that will impact positively on student learning, and overall proficiency levels.
OPERATIONAL COSTS
We value our teachers and staff and understand that their commitment to our students’ success is their primary goal. Research shows that teacher quality is a powerful determinant of student achievement gains, yet, schools often struggle to staff their schools with qualified teachers. This problem seems to begin with teacher recruitment. In order to improve teacher recruitment, a popular intervention for schools is raising teacher salaries to improve the school’s attractiveness as well as reducing turnover or teachers having to work second jobs. We have master teachers in our midst and want to increase our valued teacher pool.

Assist in fundraising efforts for teachers to earn an increase of $5.00 per hour leading to annual teaching salaries between $36,000 - $39,000.
